QuitBuddy
Adds a safety net to Command-Q to prevent accidental quits that lose sessions, builds, and tabs
Launch screenshots from Product Hunt, Jul 2026
A macOS menu-bar app that intercepts Command-Q to prevent accidental app quits that close sessions, builds, tabs, and unsaved state. It is for individual Mac users such as developers, designers, and writers/researchers who work in apps where an unintended quit causes lost work. It is delivered as a native offline app that runs from the menu bar and applies per-app rules only to configured apps, leaving all other apps to quit normally.
