How companies actually found traction

Is a month a long time to run the same SaaS ad?
A month is a long run for a Meta image ad, but a relatively short one for a Google image ad. Across 348,955 SaaS ad creatives we analyzed, their median observed runs were 10 days and 150.6 days, respectively. That gap offers a more useful starting point than the overall 79.9-day median, whether you’re reviewing your own creative or following competitors. Nearly 40% of the ads were still running, so these are observed durations, not final lifespans.

How many SaaS products publish llms.txt?
According to Upbase's scan of over 17,000 SaaS products, only 39.9% publish an `llms.txt` file to guide AI answer engines, a figure that remains flat despite industry hype. This adoption is led by developer tools like Vercel and Replit, though the metric only measures file presence, not the quality of its content or structure.

Where new SaaS products are actually launching
Developer Tools generated more public launch activity than any other SaaS category tracked by Upbase over the past six months.
